Olen rampannut morsiuspukuliikkeissä nyt lähes päivätyönäni. No vitsi, vitsi – mutta siltä se on välillä tuntunut. Kenties osasyy siihen, miksi pukujen sovittelu sai minut käyttämään työvertausta, on se, ettei touhu ole muistuttanut ainakaan minkäänlaista hupia vaan ennemminkin juuri työtä. Suurin syy tähän on se, miten pettynyt olen ollut monessa suomalaisessa morsiuspukuliikkeessä saamaani palveluun.
Näen asian näin: morsiuspukuliikkeet myyvät unelmia. Asuja, joihin pukeudutaan elämän tärkeimpänä päivänä, asuja, jotka elävät muistoissa ja valokuvissa vielä vuosikymmenien ajan. Palvelukokemuksella on siis valtavan suuri merkitys. Osassa liikkeistä saamani palvelu on saanut aikaan sen, että vaikka unelmieni puvun olisin löytänyt, en välttämättä olisi halunnut sitä kyseisestä paikasta ostaa.
En mene yksityiskohtiin, sillä kaikilla meillä on huonoja päiviä ja palvelukokemukset ovat erilaisia kaikille meille. Lisäksi en halua aiheuttaa ongelmia kenellekään, vaan lähinnä herätellä ajattelemaan, miten pienilläkin asioilla voi olla suuri merkitys, ja miten pienilläkin muutoksilla voidaan tehdä morsiuspuvun ostamisesta paljon miellyttävämpi kokemus.
Listaankin nyt sellaisia asioita, jotka ainakin minulle tekisivät morsiuspuvun ostamisesta mielekkäämpää.
1. Asiakkaan huomiointi heti saapuessa liikkeeseen tavalla, joka saa asiakkaan tuntemaan itsensä erityiseksi. Minä arvostan henkilökohtaisessa ostokokemuksessa sitä, että morsianta käteltäisiin. Näin ei toistaiseksi ole tapahtunut vielä yhdessäkään liikkeessä myyjän aloitteesta. Kättely on jenkkimeininkiä ehkä, mutta pieni teko, joka saisi morsiamen tuntemaan olonsa erityiseksi edes tuon tunnin ajan, jonka hän liikkeessä viettää.
2. Olen oman etsimisprosessini aikana käynyt liikkeissä, jonka KAIKKI mekot olivat liian pieniä minulle. Olen itse kokoa M/L, joten pidän asiaa kohtuuttomana. Myyjät ovat perustelleet asiaa sillä, että saavat aina mekoista vaan mallikoot, jotka ovat noin koko 36. Mielestäni tämä on hassua ja toivoisin asiaan muutosta. Ensinnäkin luulisi, että mekko on aina helpompi kiristää asiakkaan päälle kuin kiskoa rutisten liian ison ihmisen päälle. Tällöin myös me ”isommat” naiset saisimme paremman käsityksen siitä, miltä mekko tulisi päällämme näyttämään. Toinen iso miinus on se, jos liian pientä mekkoa ei saada niin sanotusti kiristettyä morsiamen päälle. Olen käynyt liikkeissä, joissa liiankin pienen mekon on pystynyt hahmottamaan, koska myyjällä on ollut erimerkiksi kuminauha tai klipsejä, joilla hän on temppuillut mekon päälleni istuvaksi – asia, joka vaikuttaa aivan taatusti ostopäätökseen. Se, ettei liian pientä mekkoa pysty millään tavalla ”kiinnittämään” morsiamen päälle on mielestäni pelkkää osaamisen tai viitsimisen puutetta. Pahinta pienissä mekkokoissa on kuitenkin se, että itseensä tyytyväinenkin kurvikuningatar poistuu helposti liikkeestä kyynel silmässä, koska tuntee olonsa liian isoksi.
3. Morsiamen ei ikinä pitäisi joutua odottamaan että hänet huomioidaan, mikäli hän on varannut sovitusajan. Mikäli hän inhimillisistä syistä johtuen niin joutuu tekemään, tulisi työntekijöiden tulla reilusti pyytämään viivästystä anteeksi ja tarjota vaikkapa kahvit. Luulisi itsestään selväksi, eikö? No, ei ole ollut.
4. Mahdollisuus sovitukseen niin, että toinen morsian ei seiso täysin vieressä. Suuri osa meistä tietää sen tunteen, kun on tyytyväinen asuunsa, ja sitten näkee jonkun, jonka päällä se näyttää paremmalta. Voisiko ajatella, että edes morsiuspukua sovittaessa vertailun mahdollisuus minimoitaisiin? Ymmärrän toki realiteetit ja sen, että useimmissa liikkeissä morsiamia voi olla paikalla monia yhtä aikaa. Mutta esimerkiksi saman peiliseinän edessä seisominen liian pienessä mekossa, 30 sentin päässä 180-senttisestä ja 50-kiloisesta keijukaismorsiamesta ja hänen ihastelevista kaasoistaan saa mielen matalaksi ainakin allekirjoittaneelta.
5. Rehellisyys sen suhteen, millaisia muutoksia mekkoon on mahdollista tehdä ja millaisia ei. Mikäli myyjä ei ole varma asiasta, toivoisin asioiden selvittämistä ennen lupausten tekemistä.
Tällä hetkellä minulla on vielä pari sellaista liikettä, joissa haluan ehdottomasti käydä. Olen kuitenkin jo lähestulkoon menettänyt toivoni mekon valmiina löytämisestä ja siksipä minulla on varattu myös tapaaminen morsiuspuku-ateljeen kanssa aivan omanlaisen mekon suunnittelemiseksi. SIIIS MITÄ!!!!! Suurin osa ihmisistä on todellakin tuota M/L kokoa, ihminen on silloin keskivertokokoinen, ei mitenkään erityisen iso! Ei ole mitään väärää olla keijukainen = 180/50, mutta sellaiset on oikeasti harvassa 🙂 Ja heille saa kiristeltyä päälle vaikka ja mitä. Ja se todennäköisesti näyttää hyvältä. Eli olisi mun mielestä varmasti järkevää hankkia sovitusmekot keskivertokoossa 🙂 Silloinhan todennäköisimmin olisi mukava sovituskokemus mahdollisimman monelle.
Ja siis nimenomaan, häämekko ei ole VAATE. Häämekkoliike ei ole VAATEkauppa. Siellä myydään mielikuva ja unelma täydellisistä häistä ja siitä hetkestä kun tuleva aviomies näkee morsiammen ensimmäistä kertaa mekossa. Ostos myös tehdään ERITTÄIN vahvasti tunteeseen nojaten. Sitä mekosta tulevaa hyvää tunnetta todellakin häiritsee se jos morsiamella ei ole tervetullut olo tai jos hän kokee itsensä isoksi. Eli sama mekko saattaa jäädä rekkiin huonossa liikkeessä mutta lähteä matkaan ihanassa liikkeessä.

Olen ns toisella kierroksella nyt 40 vuotiaana ja päätin ottaa kaiken irti tulevista häistä. Ensimmäinen hääpukuni oli teetetty, nyt halusin saada OIKEAN elämyksen sovittelevalle ja ostamalla tulevan pukuni hääpukuliikkeestä.
Olemme pääkaupunkiseudulta, mutta ajoimme sovituspäivänä Turkuun, josta aloitimme sovittelut ha jatkoimme siitä Helsinkiin jossa meillä oli sovittu useita sovitusaikoja.
Lyhyesti:
1) yhdessäkään paikassa ei tosiaan kätelty, jotta olisin tuntenut itseni odotetuksi ja tervetulleeksi. (Olenhan varannut ajan tuhlata tuhansia euroja seuraavan Tunnin aikana ko liikkeestä ?)
2) yhdessäkään paikassa ei tarjottu vettä, kahvia saati kuohuviiniä (edes kaupanteon jälkeen) vaikkakin jokaisessa paikassa kertoimen päivän mittaisesta rundista.
3) olin sovitus hetkellä myös kokoa XL/44 – vain kourallinen puvuista mahtui päälle. Myyjien ammattitaito vaihteli kekseliäisyyden suhteen, mutta tunsin itseni maailman läskeimmäksi morsiameksi juuri ko päivänä.
4) Osassa paikoista olisin halunnut sovittaa mallinuken päällä olevaa pukua, jonka myyjä tyrmäsi lauseella ”tämä on niin kallis puku” johon vastasin, että ei kiinnosta – minä etsin pukua eikä sille ole budjettia. Pukua ei herunut sovitukseen. (Viime viikolla huomasin kauppiattaren päällä ko ”kalliin 4000€” puvun, olisi tehnyt mieli kommentoida, että saako näitä nyt sovittaa ?
5)Liikkeet olivat järjestäen todella epäsiistejä, likaisia, pieniä sovareita, huonot valot, järkyttävät wc:t. Likaiset huonekalut…
Mietin näin itse sisustuksen- ja kaupan alan yrittäjänä, että miten näillä kauppiailla on varaa tämänkaltaiseen palveluun/toimintaan?
Suomalaisia aliarvioidaan nyt vahvasti.

Toivon, että jokainen morsian saa kokea sovituspäivän yhtenä elämänsä tärkeimmistä päivistä. Minulla oli odotukset todella korkealla ja vaikka oman puvun löysinkin, kokemus oli todella harmittava pettymys ja teki minut surulliseksi.
Jokainen meistä jättää liikkeisiin 1000-5000€ helposti – eikö sillä hinnalla palvelun ja siistien tilojen pitäisi olla itsestään selvyys?
Onpa erikoista, että sovituspuvut ovat Suomessa noin pientä kokoa! Itse ostin ensi kesän häihini puvun Yhdysvalloista, joka oli tuolloin vielä kotimaani. Siellä sovituspuvut ovat kaikki osapuilleen kokoa 42 juuri tuosta mainitsemastasi syystä: liian ison puvun saa helposti kiristettyä pienenkin morsiamen päälle, kun taas liian pientä pukua on aika mahdotonta sovittaa. Parhaat amerikkalaiset hääpukumyyjät olivat ammattimaisia puvun kiristäjiä ja kiristivät sitä taitavasti vuoroin takaa ja vuoroin edestä niin, että sovittaja sai todella hyvän käsityksen siitä, miltä puku näyttäisi oikeassa koossa.
Kättelyä en ainakaan muista, mutta muuten asiakaspalvelu oli kyllä ylitsepursuavan ystävällistä kuten paikalliseen tapakulttuuriin kuuluu.
Tuo mainitsemasi rehellisyys puvun muutoksista on asia, joka minua hieman jännittää… Päädyin nimittäin ostamaan 70 prosentin alennuksella sovituspukuna muutaman vuoden palvelleen hääpuvun, joka on minulle monta numeroa liian iso. Puku on merenneitomallinen, ja sen on istuttava täydellisesti, jotta se näyttää siltä miltä tarkoitus on. Myyjä vakuutti minulle, ettei puvun pienentäminen olisi heidän ompelijoilleen mikään ongelma, mutta koska olin muuttamassa Suomeen noin vuotta ennen häitä, katsoin parhaaksi jättää korjausompelun Suomessa lähempänä häitä tehtäväksi.
