Hääkuvaus ja onnistuneet hääkuvat

Mä olen aina arvostanut valokuvausta, ja siksi pidän hääkuvausta tärkeänä osana naimisiinmenoa. Uskon myös, että muutamien pointtien avulla hääkuvaus on miellyttävä ja onnistunut kokemus jopa niille, jotka normaalisti eivät nauti kameran edessä olemisesta.

Hääkuvaukselle tulee varata riittävästi aikaa, sillä kiire näkyy helposti kasvoilla. Olen ollut teininä valokuvaamossa kesätöissä, ja joitakin hääkuvia otettiin arkena viikkoja ennen häitä koemeikin ja -kampauksen kanssa. Tällöin ei morsiusparilla ollut huolta kiireestä, ja kuvaus voitiin ajoittaa toiveiden mukaan vaikka auringonnousuun tai -laskuun.

Jos kuvaus suoritetaan hääpäivänä, on mietittävä etukäteen, mitä vieraat tekevät kuvauksen ajan. Tällöin ei tarvitse poseeratessa stressata vieraita. Me päätimme ratkaista ongelman sillä, että kuvat otetaan juhlapaikan upeissa puitteissa ennen vihkimistä ja vieraiden saapumista.

Toki hyvän kuvaajan voi löytää myös selaamalla valokuvaajien kotisivuja ja tutustumalla heidän töihinsä. Joka tapauksessa kannattaa olla ajoissa liikkeellä, jotta ei tarvitse suppean tarjonnan takia tyytyä ihan ok -kuvaajaan, sillä kesäviikonloput ovat todella kiireistä aikaa ammattikuvaajille.

Varsinaisten hääkuvausten lisäksi tehdään paljon myös dokumentaarista tapahtumakuvausta häistä. Se on toki aika arvokasta, sillä sitoo valokuvaajan koko päiväksi intensiiviseen työhön ja vie paljon työtunteja hääpäivän jälkeenkin, kun kuvaaja ensin valitsee älyttömästä kuvamäärästä käsiteltävät kuvat ja sitten käsittelee ne. Kuitenkin joissakin ympäristöissä, kuten kirkoissa, amatöörin voi olla vaikea saada onnistuneita kuvia, jolloin on ehkä parempi jättää homma ammattilaisen käsiin. Tällöin myös vieraat voivat nauttia tilaisuudesta rauhassa ilman tarvetta räpsiä puhelimilla kuvia.

Kun olin valokuvaamossa töissä kesäisin, törmäsin välillä siihen, että häissä oli ollut kertakäyttökameroita vieraiden käytössä. Tämä oli siis 10 vuotta sitten, en tiedä, tekeeko kukaan enää niin! Ajatus oli hauska: jokaisessa pöydässä oli kertakäyttökamera, jolla vieraat voivat ottaa kuvia. Toteutus oli kuitenkin usein heikkoa. Kuvia oli otettu pimeissä sisätiloissa ilman salamavaloa, jolloin onnistuneita kuvia saattoi 10 kertakäyttökamerasta tulla vain yhden filmirullallisen verran. Nykyään häätägit, polaroid-kamerat ja photo booth -seinät ovat aika yleisiä häissä, ja vastaavat vähän tätä kertakäyttökameraideaa: muistoksi rentoja kuvia vieraista ja juhlasta.
