Hääpäivä – valmistautuminen

Saimme juhlapaikan koristelun valmiiksi perjantaina klo 17, jonka jälkeen isäni vei minut ja toisen kaasoni, Elinan, Lahden Sokos Hotel Seurahuoneelle. Olimme varanneet Karoliina Suiten häitä edeltävälle yölle.

Minun ja kahden kaasoni meikit sekä kampaukset tehtiin hääpäivän aamuna hotellihuoneessamme. Aiemmin tehdyn koemeikin ja kampauksen pohjalta, olin varannut Irina Arvokkaan huolehtimaan hääpäivän lookistamme. Irina saapui hotellille klo 07:00. Ensimmäisenä laitettiin Elinan meikki ja hiukset. Sitten oli minun vuoroni, kello oli tuolloin klo 08:30. Samaan aikaan avasimme myös ensimmäisen pullon kuohuviiniä. Hotellin siivooja kävi sijaamassa sänkymme, jottei huone näyttänyt ihan räjähtäneeltä.

Valokuvaajamme saapui hotellille yhdeksän aikoihin ottamaan kuvia valmistautumisesta. Kuvaukseen meni oman arvioni mukaan noin puoli tuntia. Tarkoituksena ei ollut, että hän olisi ottamassa kuvia koko aamua vaan lyhyempi aika riitti hyvin. Klo 10:30 minunkin meikkini ja kampaukseni oli valmis. Kaaso oli tällä välillä käynyt ostamassa unohtuneet avokassukat meille sekä kipaissut Alkosta hakemassa toisen pullon proseccoa

Irina piti pienen tauon ja klo 11:00 myös toinen kaasoni, Henna, oli saapunut hotellille, jolloin vuorossa oli hänen kampauksena ja meikkinsä. Tässä välissä Elina kipaisi hakemassa hääkimppuni ja heittokimppuni kukkakaupasta. Kello 12:30 olimme kaikki valmiina, yksi ystäväni tuli vielä hotellihuoneeseen juomaan lasilliset kanssamme. Aloimme viimein pukeutua mekkoihimme, jännitys alkoi valtamaan minua.

Olimme tyylikkäästi, noin kymmenisen minuuttia myöhässä sovitusta klo 13. Hääauto ja kuljettaja odottivat meitä hotellin takana. Menimme hotellin parkkihallin kautta takakadulle, jotteivat vieraat näkisi meitä hotellin aulassa. Matka kohti juhlapaikkaa oli alkanut.
