Olen ollut aikamoisessa huulirasvakierteessä, ja on tuntunut, että huulirasvat eivät ole auttaneet rohtuneita ja kuivia huulia ollenkaan. Kuiviin huuliin on vaikeaa tehdä siistiä huulimeikkiä, ja siksi olen kokeillut kaikkea huulien parantamiseksi häitäkin ajatellen. Vierastan voimakkaita huulimeikkejä, vaikka ne muiden huulilla ovatkin todella kauniita. Toivon, että omat huuleni olisivat häissämme kevyesti meikatut, mutta ennen kaikkea hyvin hoidetut ja hyväkuntoiset.
Keväällä bongasin eräiltä markkinoilta Turun jokirannasta kuusenpihkavoidetuotteita. Tuotteita oli paljon, mutta ensimmäisenä kiinnitin huomiota kuusenpihkahuulivoiteeseen. Sen tuoksu on mieto, hieman kaakaoinen, ja ainesosaluettelo ihanan lyhyt: kuusenpihkaöljyä, kaakaovoita, mehiläisvahaa ja jojobaöljyä.
Tämä huulirasva oli pelastus. Aiemmin olen lätrännyt huulirasvojen kanssa jatkuvasti, mutta kuusenpihkahuulivoiteen kanssa huomasin, etten lisää enää huulirasvaa kuin pari kertaa vuorokaudessa! Koska huulirasva oli kohdallani menestys, kokeilen innolla muitakin tuotteita, joita Kuusenpihka Avux lähetti mulle. Vanhan kansan hoitometodit, kuusenpihka, kotimaiset yrtit ja luonnon parantavat ominaisuudet ovat todella mielenkiintoisia, ja tuen erittäin mielelläni suomalaisia pienyrittäjiä, jotka arvostavat luontoa ja sen antimia.
Kuusenpihkaa on käytetty monenlaisiin ihovaurioihin sen antiseptisten ominaisuuksien takia. Sillä voi hoitaa haavoja ja palovammoja, mutta myös auringonpolttamaa ihoa ja hyönteistenpistoja. Toukokuun helteiset ja pitkät illat pitivät ulkona ja liikkeessä sillä seurauksella, että mä olin täynnä hyttysenpistoja, joita teki mieli raapia niiiin paljon.
