Häämatkamme: romanttinen Kreikka

Odotuksemme ja toiveemme häämatkallemme olivat simppelit: lämpöä, rentoutumista ja hyvää ruokaa. Tätä kaikkea ja hieman enemmänkin tarjosi ehdottomasti häämatkakohteemme Kreikan Lindos. Varasimme matkan jo hyvissä ajoin, Matkamessujen aikaan keväällä.

Lindos sijaitsee noin 45 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Rodoksen kaupungista. Olimme varanneet Lindoksen kylän liepeiltä olimme deluxe-sviitin Lindos Blu Luxury -hotellista. Mieletön paikka, joka on rakennettu vuorenrinteeseen niin, että jokaisesta huoneesta on henkeäsalpaavan kaunis näkymä Vlichan-lahdelle.

Lämpöä kyllä riitti, sillä parhaimpina päivinä hellelukemat näyttivät + 38 astetta. Aurinko portti joka päivä, eikä pilvistä tai sateesta ollut tietoakaan. Olo ei kuitenkaan ollut tukala, sillä ihanan Rodoksen tuuli vilvoitti mukavasti oloa. Koska kyseessä oli häämatka, halusimme kerrankin panostaa hotellin valintaan ja tällä kertaa valinta osui täysin nappiin. Lindos Blu -hotelli on kerännyt ylistäviä arvioita muun muassa Tripadvisorissa ja pakko todeta, että ne pitivät täysin paikkaansa. Loistavan sijaintinsa lisäksi hotellissa panostetaan todella paljon asiakaspalveluun, joten heti saapumishetkestämme lähtien tunsimme olomme erittäin tervetulleeksi.

Huoneemme oli deluxe-svitti, jonka parvekkeella oli oma poreamme, huoneesta oli tietenkin myös huikea näköala lahdelle. Kun näimme ensi kertaa huoneemme, olimme aivan ällistyneitä: eteinen oli koristeltu ruusun terälehdillä, joita oli (karkkien lisäksi) ripoteltu myös sängylle. Huoneessa oli meitä odottamassa myös kuohuviinipullo, hunajaa, pähkinöitä, pientä naposteltavaa sekä tuoreita hedelmiä. Emme olleet todellakaan odottaneet mitään sellaista tervetuliaisyllätystä. Ensimmäiset pari tuntia menikin näköalaa ja herkkuja ihmeteltäessä sekä tietenkin poreammetta testaillessa. Kävimme heti saapumisiltana myös tutustumassa Lindoksen kylään, jonne hotellilta pääsi todella kätevästi suoraan taksilla.

Kuten mainittu, kaipasimme häämatkaltamme lämpöä ja rentoutusta, joten rannalla löhöily oli ehdottomasti yksi tärkeimmistä matkamme aktiviiteeteista. Hotellillamme oli oma privaattiranta, aivan muutaman (hissi-) matkan päässä huoneestamme. Rannalla oli valkeaa, pehmeää hiekkaa sekä kristallinkirkasta vettä. Biitsille sai myös tilata huonepalvelun kautta ruokaa ja juomaa, joten siellä pystyi löhöilemään oikeastaan ihan koko päivän. Iltaisin suuntasimme aina Lindoksen kylään illallistamaan ja vaikka kyseessä onkin aikamoinen turistimesta, löytyi sieltä myös muutamia erittäin hyviä rauhallisempia ravintoloita.

Voin lämpimästi suositella esimerkiksi Broccolino-nimistä ravintolaa, jossa oli erinomainen, rento palvelu ja tarjolla taivaallisia italialaisia herkkuja. Toki myös muut kylän vilkkaammat raflat toimivat todella hyvin, sillä Kreikassa harvoin saa huonoa ruokaa mistään. Herkuttelimme myös muutaman kerran pita gyroksilla, jotka ovat mitä parhainta paikallista pikaruokaa. Koin myös ehkäpä elämäni romanttisimman illallisen hotellillamme, jossa sijaitsi huikea Five Senses -ravintola. Siellä meille oli katettu isolle kattoterassille pöytä valkoisine pöytäliinoineen ja kynttilöineen. Nautimme siellä erittäin herkullisen kreikkalaisen illallisen ja sen lisäksi saimme nauttia huikeasta auringonlaskusta. Valehtelematta kokemus oli kuin suoraan jostain romanttisesta elokuvasta.

Rannalla löhöilyn ja syömisen lisäksi teimme toki muutakin, piipahdimme Rodoksen kylässä ja kiipesimme Lindoksen Akropolikselle, josta oli huikeat näkymät. Tarjolla olisi ollut muitakin aktiviteetteja, kuten saarihyppelyretkiä yms. Mutta tällä kertaa halusimme keskittyä vain olemiseen ja rentoutumiseen.

Häämatkakohteena Lindos on todella romanttinen ja helppo paikka, joten jos vielä mietit minne suhteellisen lähelle sitä voisi kuherruskuukautta lähteä viettämään, niin voin suositella kyseistä kohdetta ja hotellia. Lindos Blussa saimme nauttia joka aamu todella herkullisen buffetaamiaisen, huone siistittiin muutaman kerran päivässä, henkilökunta oli todella avuliasta ja ystävällistä ja meitä myös hemmoteltiin pikku ylläreillä, joita aina oli tuotu huoneeseen päivän päätteksi (tuoreita hedelmiä, jääteetää, viiniä yms.) Kaikki tällaiset pienet yksityiskohdat tekivät matkastamme erityisen. Vinkkinä voin sanoa, että mielestäni häämatkalla kannattaa ehdottomasti panostaa nimenomaan hotellin ja huoneen valintaan! Myös ravintolat kohteessa kannattaa tsekata etukäteen. Kreikka kohteena on mielestäni muutenkin oiva paikka viettää kuherruskuukautta, sillä ei tarvitse lähteä kauas kokeakseen upeat rannat ja todella romanttiset puitteet.
