Juhlista on nyt kaksi viikkoa, mutta onneksi häähumua voi pitää yllä näitä kuvia katsellen ja postauksia kirjotellen. 🙂 Hääkakun etsintä aloitettiin jo viime kesänä maistelemalla Turussa saatavalla olevia vegaanisia kakkuja. Osa ei ollut tarpeeksi juhlavan näköisiä ja osa oli aivan liian makeita. Keväällä 2018 löysimme Café Fikan, jolla oli pari vegaanista ja gluteenitonta kakkua. Tilasimme näistä maistiaispalat, jotka kävin noutamassa kahvilalta.
Hurmaava Kahvila Fika sijaitsee Tuomiokirkon takana ihanassa vanhassa puutalossa. Talo on rakennettu leivintuvaksi vuonna 1830 ja saneerattu sitten kahvilaksi vuonna 2015. Jos olisin paljon kahviloissa käyvä ihminen, kävisin ehdottomasti täällä jo pelkän miljöön ja tunnelman takia. Maisteltavat kakut olivat vadelmasacher ja vaahterasiirappisuklaakakku. En tiedä, miten olisin selvinnyt päätöksestä, jos mun olisi pitänyt tehdä se yksin. Molemmat kakut olivat niin herkullisia. Onneksi maistamassa oli myös Karo ja mun serkkuni. Päädyimme vaahterasiirappisuklaakakkuun, joka tuunattiin vielä passionhedelmällä.
Kerroin juhliemme tyylistä, ja Café Fikan Pirjo ehdotti kakuiksi marjoin, hedelmin ja kukkasin koristeluja drip cakeja, joissa suklaa valuu reunoille. Tuntui, kuin hän olisi lukenut ajatukseni! Emme siis halunneet kerroskakkua hääkakuksi, vaan näitä samankokoisia kakkuja tuli yhteensä neljä.
Meille ei myöskään tullut perinteistä kakunkoristetta kakun päälle. Kakkupöytä oli koristeltu kynttilöin ja viherkasvein. Pieni yksityiskohta oli kultaiseksi maalattu hevospariskunta, jonka voi nyt sitten tulkita kakunkoristeeksi. Hevosia oli myös vieraskirjapöydässä ja meidän pöydässämme, ja loppuillasta juhlien lapsivieraat saivat ottaa nuo mukaansa kotiin lähtiessään.
Kakkujen päällä oli viikunaa, karhunvatukoita, mansikoita, vadelmia, pensasmustikoita, ananaskirsikoita ja punaherukoita. Lisäksi saimme Cafe Fikasta mukaan syötäviä kukkia, joilla koristelua olisi voinut täydentää vielä runsaammaksi, mutta nuo ruiskaunokit päätyivät kakkupöydän koristeeksi, sillä kakut olivat kauniita ilmankin.
Kakku maistui vieraille todella hyvin, ja he kyselivätkin paljon, mistä kakku oli tilattu. Jopa kesän aikana monet juhlat nähneet juhlapaikan omistajat kysyivät, ”kuka taikuri kakut on tehnyt”. Kakuthan olivat siis vegaaniuden lisäksi myös gluteenittomia, jotta kaikki vieraat pystyivät syödä samoja kakkuja. Jo pelkkä gluteenittomuus tai vegaanius voisi tuottaa leipomisessa pulmia, mutta Café Fikalle ei todellakaan. Myös määrällisesti kakkua oli todella sopivasti. Kannattaa ehdottomasti tsekata tuon kahvilan tarjonta, jos kaipaat Turussa leivonnaisia.
