Vihkiminen meren rannalla

Hääpäivämme aamuna satoi vettä, mikä uhkasi ulkona tapahtuvaa vihkimistämme. Vihkimiseen kuului musiikkia, ja pelkäsimme sateen rikkovan musiikkilaitteet. Aamupäivän jatkuva säätutkien tulkitseminen päättyi siihen, että otimme riskin ja päätimme järjestää vihkimisen ulkona. Vieraille olisi kyllä sateenvarjoja, ja musiikista vastaavat kaverini vakuuttelivat, että laitteet kestäisivät pientä tihkusadetta. Pidimme sormet ristissä ja valmistelimme vihkipaikan. Veimme itsetehtyihin amppeleihin takapihaltamme poimitut kukat ja asettelimme isomummini perintömaton vihkipaikan merkiksi hiekalle. Pari tuntia ennen vihkimistä sää alkoikin kirkastua, sade loppui ja itse vihkimisen ajan paistoi aurinko. Tämä oli kyllä uskomaton tuuri!

Odotimme Karon kanssa villan sisätiloissa vieraiden siirtyessä rantaan odottamaan vihkimistä. Koska siviilivihkiminen kestää vain kymmenisen minuuttia eikä vieraissamme ollut iäkkäitä ihmisiä, emme olleet järjestäneet rantaan istumapaikkoja. Karon kaaso jakoi vieraille kauraa heitettäväksi ja nenäliinoja, ja serkkuni nappasi rannasta hyvän paikan, jotta pystyi välittämään vihkimisen mummolleni videopuhelun avulla.
